Introduction:

Welcome to your first Arabic lesson! In this lesson, we'll start by introducing you to the Arabic alphabet, followed by some basic greetings and introductions commonly used in Arabic-speaking countries.

Arabic Alphabet:

The Arabic script encompasses 28 letters, which are written in a right-to-left direction. Each letter has different forms depending on its position within a word: isolated, initial, medial, and final. Let's start by learning the alphabet in its isolated form along with their pronunciation:

١. ألف (Aleph) - [a]

٢. باء (Baa) - [b]

٣. تاء (Taa) - [t]

٤. ثاء (Thaa) - [th]

٥. جيم (Jeem) - [j]

٦. حاء (Haa) - [h]

٧. خاء (Khaa) - [kh]

Basic Greetings and Introductions:

Now that we've familiarized ourselves with the Arabic alphabet, let's learn some basic greetings and introductions.

السلام عليكم (Assalamu Alaikum) - Hello (Peace be upon you)
- Response: وعليكم السلام (Wa Alaikum Assalam) - Hello (And peace be upon you)
مرحباً (Marhaban) - Hello
- Response: مرحباً (Marhaban) - Hello
كيف حالك؟ (Kayfa Halak/Halik?) - How are you? (male/female)
- Response: أنا بخير، شكراً (Ana bikhair, shukran) - I'm fine, thank you
ما اسمك؟ (Ma ismuk/ismik?) - What is your name? (male/female)
- Response: اسمي [Your Name] (Ismi [Your Name]) - My name is [Your Name]
